Bush Baby FAQ's
What is the difference between the Sensitive & Normal variations?
We have created 2 variations (normal & sensitive) for some of our Bush Baby products.
Sensitive: Our sensitive range is fragrance free and is recommended for newborns or babies & kids with extra sensitive skin which may arise from pre-existing allergies in the family, a premature or Caesarean delivery, or if your baby has been breastfed short-term.
Normal: The normal variation includes natural fragrances such as lavender, chamomile and honey bush, adding a gentle floral fragrance to your Bush Babies skin care routine. Recommend for babies and kids where there is no family history of allergies and skin sensitivities, or if the baby was delivered naturally and is exclusively breastfed.
Please note that both variations are 100% natural and include gentle soothing ingredients for your Bush Babies skin.
From what age can my little one start using Bush Baby products?
The Bush Baby range is suitable for all ages, from newborns up until pre-teens or when they are ready to move onto the Back 2 Nature adult range. For more guidance on how to use the Bush Baby products on your little ones head to our Bush Baby Skin Care Guide.
Why should I be using 100% natural products on my baby / child?
Babies have very tender and fragile skin. After birth, the baby’s skin requires time to get accustomed to the new harsh environment and its varying changes. Therefore, natural and organic baby products which are free of any chemicals and additives are a safer option than perfumed or harsh antibacterial products which may cause rashes and dryness. It is advisable to use products which are specifically designed for babies.
There are so many chemicals surrounding us and unfortunately it’s not always possible to keep your kids away from it all. Luckily we can control what they are using at home.
Using natural products on your kids will keep their skin nourished and protected, their bodies healthier and will also teach them the importance of using natural products as they grow up and encourage them to be more mindful of how they interact with the natural world around them.
What skin care ingredients should I avoid using on my Bush Baby?
Always make sure to read the ingredients carefully before purchasing a product for your baby. Check for the chemicals mentioned below and any other ingredient of which the name you do not recognise. Research unfamiliar ingredients before purchasing to make sure the product is safe for infants and young children.

From what age can my little one use sunblock?
A variety of paediatrician studies has suggested that babies should be kept out of direct sunlight until they’re 6 months old. Keep your baby in the shade as much as possible and rely on protective clothing. After 6 months, choose a sun cream like the Rays Of Sunshine Sun Cream which is 100% natural using non-nano mineral filters like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to block UV rays.
