As the founder of Surf4Earth, he’s spent years guiding others to connect more deeply with their breath, the sea, and themselves. Whether he's running surf clinics or teaching breathwork under the palm trees, Daniel brings presence, purpose, and a whole lot of heart. We’re honoured to have him as part of the Back 2 Nature family.

Sun-kissed and ocean-bound, Keahlo moves between waves and beach adventures with the easy confidence of someone who's grown up by the sea. This surf lover brings her own quiet style to the coastal life she shares with dad Alan Van Gysen, embodying the Back 2 Nature ethos in every unfiltered moment of her salt-water existence.

Amylee grew up in Ocean View, where she discovered surfing in high school, and it quickly became her passion. The ocean gives her a sense of freedom and confidence, something she now loves to share with others.

With her surf instructor qualification, she mentors young surfers and coordinates coaches and volunteers at Surfpop. Living close to nature is central to her life, and her energy, warmth, and love for the sea make her a natural fit for the Back 2 Nature family.

Half scientist, half mermaid, Danel dives deeper than most—both into ocean research and the breathtaking blue depths she calls her second home. With a marine biologist's mind and a freediver's soul, she transforms complex ocean science into stories that make you want to protect what she loves, all while rocking Back 2 Nature as her shield against the elements she's constantly immersed in.

A true ocean steward, Leigh merges science and grace with instinct and courage. As a marine biologist, commercial diver, and aquarist at Two Oceans Aquarium, she’s spent years swimming with sharks, rescuing turtles, and swimming epic distances, from Robben Island to Fish Hoek to raise funds and awareness for marine conservation . Her adventures have taken her from lab research to law enforcement briefings, always guided by a single goal: protecting the wild ocean she calls home. We’re honoured to have  this fierce advocate and salt-water soul as part of the Back 2 Nature family.
